All Schools ( Private and Public ) closed for one week due to heavy smog. This closure of schools will start from November 4,2024 to November 11, 2024.
According to notification, all public and private schools remains closed in Lahore District. This notification issued under section 6(1) (t) of the Punjab Environmental Act 1997.
NOTIFICATION
No.SO(A-1)1-31/2008(P-I): In the wake of deteriorating Air Quality Index (AQI) and in light of order dated 03.11.2024 issued by Director General Environmental Protection Agency Punjab while exercising powers conferred under section 6(1)(t) of the Punjab Environmental Protection Act, 1997 , it is notified that all the classes upto 5th grade in all schools (Public & Private) located in the territorial jurisdiction of district Lahore shall remain closed for one (1) week w.e.f. 04.11.2024 (Monday) till 09.11.2024 (Saturday ).
2. Chief Executive Officer (DEA) Lahore is directed to ensure compliance of the orders.
